II. Model disassembly
The main leaves are folded in half and then in half downwards to simulate the branches of a cedar. A cedar branch is composed of only four surfaces.
The pictures of branches and leaves.png format are cropped and then stitched in blender to form the following structure, with the aim of creating an extremely lightweight.glb model.
As shown in the following figure, build a basic cedar structure diagram in Blender. Cedar initially has 1188 faces in object mode.
This cedar has produced several versions during the continuous optimization process. Here, we mainly introduce the final version used. Other versions may be reflected in the pictures.
Change the material to the just-cut leaf.png with a transparent base, adjust the Angle and reduce the surface to obtain the cedar in the following picture, compressing it to 221 surfaces.
